From Beethoven to Rath in Douwstra

Faculty Recital to Feature Composition by Alumnus
Join us as Ian Moschenross, professor of music at Central College, presents a a piano recital featuring classical music.

  • Beethoven’s Sonata in A-flat Major, Op 110
  • Schuman’s Papillons, Op. 2
  • Chopin’s Scherzo C-sharp Minor

In addition, the performance will feature a musical piece composed by Wyatt Rath ’18. Rath is now a vocal music teacher at West Sioux Community School District in Hawarden, Iowa. Rath’s selection, Quarter-Life, references the quarter-life crisis that many people, particularly college students, experience when transitioning to adulthood.

The concert is free and open to the public. It also will be live-streamed at www.central.edu/fine-arts.
