Mark your calendars! Central College’s 2022 All-State Clinic and Vocal Camp will be taking place Monday, Aug. 1, and Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022.
We are excited to welcome you to our campus and join us for this valuable camp. High school students are welcome to stay on campus or to commute each day. Details are below. Registration will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, August 1. Camp will end on Tuesday evening following a concluding concert.
Cost (includes all meals and activities):
Residential campers (spending Monday night on campus): $100 per person (includes lodging costs)
Commuter campers: $75.00 per person
As in past years, participants will:
Learn from Central’s experienced faculty, led by Mark Babcock, director of choral activities.
Meet and learn from Central students while enjoying two days of activities on campus.
Receive sectional preparation for Iowa All-State music.
Get private and group vocal technique instruction with guest clinicians.
Experience ear training and basic musicianship classes with professionals.
Have opportunities for solo singing.
For continued safety, camp:
Will meet in large indoor spaces with appropriate ventilation.
Will split participants into sectionals, quartets or other small groups for most rehearsals.
For effectiveness AND safety, emphasis will be on smaller group rehearsals, individual attention.
