Campus Life / Get Involved
Let Us Count The Ways
When it comes to the fun stuff, we’ll get straight to the point: Central has more than 100 opportunities to get involved on campus. Central students mix academics with athletics with choir with you-name-it. There are more clubs, organizations, teams and activities than there are days in the semester, which means you could literally try something new every day if you want to. The coolest news? If you don’t find an opportunity you’re into, we’ll help you start your own!
By getting involved, you can learn new skills, challenge yourself, develop leadership qualities, meet new people and enrich your college experience. Discover your passion and learn about involvement opportunities at the Involvement Fair each fall or by attending meetings and campus events.

Leadership Opportunities
If you’re going to college for a life-changing experience that will prepare you for the future you’ve always dreamed of, you’re in the right place! Central has so many options when it comes to developing your leadership abilities, discovering new dreams (or reviving old dreams you’ve kept tucked away in your heart) and honing the expertise you need to achieve all the things. There are leadership opportunities within every organization on campus, like Mock Trial and Campus Ministries, or specific leadership roles as a peer tutor or Student Orientation Staff leader.
The Campus Activities Board is a student-led organization that plans and hosts a variety of events and activities that enhance the social and cultural life on campus.
Student senators are elected by their fellow students to be the voice of the student body. They decide how student activity budgets are spent and serve on campus committees.
Resident assistants are student leaders who live in residence halls and serve as resources for fellow students. They help create a safe and positive environment, provide support and guidance, enforce campus policies and plan events.
SAAC members represent their sports in discussions with the NCAA about conference rules and sportsmanship. They also help with service activities and the year-end Dutchies awards.
Be More Than A Spectator
At Central, you can shine in front of roaring crowds as part of one of our 21 varsity athletic teams or express your creativity in the fine arts — or both! Our supportive coaches, directors and leaders prioritize your role as a student and ensure you can balance rehearsals, workouts and homework. It’s uncommon to find a place that will encourage you to engage in arts, athletics and multiple organizations. But here, we encourage you to explore and express yourself through all the outlets you want!
You can enjoy live athletics events and concerts in person or via the Central Dutch Netwok, and stay updated with announcements, clubs and events through DutchConnect, Central’s official app!
