Amy Young has taught at Central College since 2008. She is involved in a number of professional organizations, including the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages, the American Association of Teachers of German and Women in German. She has been involved in the development of Grenzenlos Deutsch and was one of the Co-Primary Investigators for the Digital Humanities Advancement Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. She has won the Huffman Award for Outstanding Support of International Education twice, and the Dr. John Wesselink Award for research related to teaching. She is also the Class Dean for the Class of 2025
