About Mindy Graham-Hinners
I graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Central College, a M.S.Ed in Community Counseling from Drake University, and a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. I have experience in both academia and counseling settings (community mental health center, private practice, youth residential facility, and college counseling centers). My research and teaching interests are in the areas of sport psychology, psychological disorders (especially disordered eating behaviors), gender issues, issues within the LGBTQ+ population, multicultural issues, and suicide. I enjoy getting to know students, assisting them in finding internship opportunities, and discussing the graduate school process with students. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my spouse and three children, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
