About Papae Wymore
Papae Wymore has served as a Lecturer of Education at Central College since 2024, where she prepares future educators in literacy, science methods and education related coursework. With more than 20 years of experience in education, she brings deep classroom expertise and leadership to her work with pre-service teachers. Her background includes serving as a kindergarten teacher, middle school at-risk coordinator and exploratory teacher. She holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education, endorsements in K–8 Reading, 5–12 Reading and 5–8 Middle School Generalist, and an Administrator License qualifying her as a PK–12 Principal and PK–12 Special Education Supervisor. A passionate advocate for evidence-aligned literacy instruction, Papae is a founding member and current President of The Reading League Iowa. She also serves on the Literacy Leadership Team and the Model Code of Ethics for Educators Team for the Iowa Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and contributes to statewide literacy efforts as an advisory council member for the Iowa Reading Research Center. Through her teaching and leadership, she is committed to advancing awareness, deep understanding, and implementation of evidence-aligned instruction across Iowa and beyond.
