Barnswallow Flowers
Join us Aug. 28

Experience the beauty of sustainable flower farming as Central RED visits Barnswallow Flowers, 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, in Oskaloosa. We will learn about flower farming sustainability in Iowa, harvest flowers and create bouquets to take home.
Meredith Nunnikhoven, fifth-generation Iowa farmer, will also share the legacy of the farm, her invention of the compostable vase and an introduction on how to grow and care for dahlias that bloom in August.
Barnswallow Flowers is located at 2560 IA-23 in Oskaloosa. We will grab lunch afterwards at a location to be determined. Bring lawn chairs, water and your creative spirit!
The cost is $25 and does not include lunch. Register by Friday, Aug. 23.
The Central RED Society is a volunteer-driven, lifelong learning and social organization with an abiding partnership with Central College alumni and friends who wish to share knowledge, talents and experiences.
