Donovan Klish ’28 has had his sights set on a legal career for most of his life.
“In the first grade, everyone’s saying they want to be an astronaut, they want to be a doctor when they grow up… I said I wanted to work for the ACLU,” Klish says.
Thanks to his pursuit of a pre-law path at Central College, shaped by the political science and sociology majors he chose, he’s enjoying an undergraduate experience that fits his ambitions both in and out of the classroom.
“It’s what really interests me… and [has] helped me grow as a person,” he says of his major choices.
Central’s many involvement opportunities also allow Klish to do more than just pursue his future legal career. He formed Central’s Model United Nations (U.N.) Club, competes with the men’s tennis program, values his secretary role in Central’s Student Senate and leads CAPIC, along with serving as a supplemental instructor for the Sociology program. He thinks the versatile options Central provides make it stand out above the rest.
“It’s very easy to go to a different state school with a lot of different people because you think that there’s going to be more opportunities there,” he says. “Central provides just as many, if not more, opportunities and different connections that provide you such a great and fun experience that is unmatched by any other college.”
