Paving the Road Ahead
Ryan Dusil ’14 is using his Central College degree for good as a research associate in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Iowa College of Public Health.
Students to Stewards
Jason ’10 and Tayler Wessels Hassman ’13 support Central College monthly. Loyal donors to the Journey Scholarship Fund, baseball team and Central Club, the Hassman's stewardship allows Central to support students across the curricular landscape.
A Legacy of Love
Wilma Damhof Hoekstra ’45 and ’69 and her late husband Tony Hoekstra ’61 established a legacy of love for Central College that has persisted for over 80 years and multiple generations. As a mother of six, grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 42 and a teacher of hundreds, Wilma’s lifelong passion for learning was cultivated while attending Central. This ultimately led to a career as one of Pella’s most beloved first-grade teachers at old Lincoln Elementary School.
