Intern / Co-op Housing Program

Housing is available for college-age students year-round who are interning or co-oping at businesses in Pella and the surrounding communities.

The housing program utilizes townhouses on the Central College campus. The program houses interns/co-ops in designated townhouses with other interns, separate from summer staff and event participants.

The townhouses are similar to dorm-style living on a smaller basis. Every two rooms share a bathroom which is outside the rooms. Each house has a shared living area — and also has a shared kitchen that includes a refrigerator, microwave and stove. Individuals are allowed to bring in a “dorm” style refrigerator to keep in their room if they’d like.

Cost will be $160.00 per week for a private room or $100.00 per week when sharing a room, prices effective Jan. 1, 2025. The majority of the rooms have two beds. Roommate preferences are recommended. Housing is available year-round with more rooms available in the summer months. Our primary summer season is from May 17, 2024 to August 8, 2024 with limited availability for later stays.

Amenities include:

  • Use of the Central College athletics complex fitness center (during normal summer operating hours) and Maytag Student Center fitness center available 24/7
  • 18-hole disc golf course
  • Cross-country course
  • Sand volleyball and basketball courts
  • Internet access
  • Ample green space for pick-up games and relaxation
  • Off-street parking

Once completed, a contract will be prepared and sent out by April 15, 2024.

Once we have received your completed application, you will be placed on the reservation list in order of receipt. Cancelations must be received in writing at least 30 days prior to the move-in date. Cancelations after that time will result in loss of security deposit.

Please feel free to contact our office with further questions.
