Originally a detective, Joe Brummel felt called to pursue a degree at New Brunswick Seminary where he earned his Master’s in Divinity. He pastored churches in near Holland, Iowa and Prairie City, Iowa before joining the Central community. During summer months, Joe and his wife lead church camps around the state of Iowa, many of which minister to disadvantaged youth who have parents in prison. In his spare time, Joe enjoys reading, refinishing furniture, and playing with his grandchildren.
